Known Errors

These are the known errors in our products, logged as reported with versions and platforms affected as well as corrections and work-arounds.

This list is largely historical, since it records all problems that have been reported throughout G&R history. Only the most recently reported problems still exist, unless you are using a very old copy of the product, in which case you should update the product to the most recent version.

E1219: Gline, the backup tansport route was not tried if the primary failed immediately

Product: gline
Platform: Linux/Unix
Status: Fixed for 6.5, fix available for 6.4
Last updated: 2009-12-16 15:11:31

When the primary transport route (TS) is via a system that is not
available on the network Gline gets a 'no route to host' error
on the connect. This was not picked up at a stage where Gline could
easily try the back-up route instead.

Workaround: Use the 'gtsupd' utility to disable the transport route
when a GCOS frontend (Mainway or FCP) or GCOS itself is shutdown or
disconnected from the network.
