Known Errors

These are the known errors in our products, logged as reported with versions and platforms affected as well as corrections and work-arounds.

This list is largely historical, since it records all problems that have been reported throughout G&R history. Only the most recently reported problems still exist, unless you are using a very old copy of the product, in which case you should update the product to the most recent version.

E1181: Glink, 5250 mode screens could be corrupted

Product: Glink
Platform: Windows
Status: Fixed in 8.1.2
Last updated: 2008-03-27 13:17:05

Glink 8.1 was erroneously setting an additional bit when reporting
its new extended capabilities in 5250 mode (DBCS and extended screen
attributes) to the host. This could result in the host attempting to
use functions that are not implemented, and this was seen as corrupt
data on the screen. Typically the area that was corrupted was shown
with an uppercase R in the first position.
